Cheaperthandirt.com
|
|
This online store claims to be "America's Leading Sporting Goods Discounter". While they don't appear to cover basketball or hockey, they are one great distributor of products that Firearm Buzz members need -- firearm accessories, military surplus, law enforcement items, camping and hunting, ammo and more ammo --the list goes on.
Do not go to Cheaper Than Dirt for a great Web experience, or the latest news, or detailed information on your civil war relic. Go there to buy what you know you need -- and get it at a great price.
Highly recommended!! |

Gunbroker.com
|
|
Gunbroker.com calls itself "The Web's Largest Hunting and Sport Shooting Auction." They appear to be right!
No other Web Site pops up on searches the way that Gunbroker.com does. And, if you go check out the site, you'll find all kinds of guns to buy.
All right, at times the site can get a little sticky -- for example, when deep in some sections, going back to where you wanted to be is occasionally a challenge.
But, to net it all out -- if you want to buy guns online -- this is the place to go! |

Gun Forums
|
|
Gun forums are everywhere on the web! They are sponsored by non-profit organizations, by commercial ventures or are just stand alone. They are large and long-lived, and small and new. Each has their own supporters and detractors.
The purpose of this review is to highlight the character of each gun forum, not to judge whether they are “good or bad”. Hopefully, the review will guide you to the best forum for you!
For all these reviews, I sent out the same message to the gun forum, asking for feedback on why members liked, or didn’t like, the forum in question. To date, two forums were aggressively hostile, so I decided to take a pass on including them here. Each of the others had specific virtues that would make them an appropriate home base or reference site for the gun enthusiast.
I am sure that I have missed some important and very popular gun forums. Please let me know (send an email via the contact section of this site) and I will review them in the future.
In the meantime, read on about gun forums reviewed by Firearm Buzz!

Cabelas.com
|
|
Cabela's claims it is the "World's Foremost Outfitter" for hunting, fishing and outdoor gear. After crawling through their website, I think they are right.
And, they may want to lay claim to the "best outfitter" Web Site as well!
Cabela's stores and catalogs have always been innovative and customer focused. Well, their Web Site is no different. It is fun to look at what they offer and how they make the experience more rewarding.
This site should be a favorite for every gun owner and outdoorsman! |

Remington.com
|
|
Remington is one of our country's oldest, premier gun manufacturers. Its website is packed with goodies and support for the gun owner -- more than meets the eye!
Its Magazine and News sections have lots of information -- not just about Remington -- everything from state hunting rules to great recipes
Of course, you can't buy firearms directly from this site, but you can pick up a few of Remington's other products -- and they appear to be expanding their online country store.
Fun to go to, easy to navigate and lots of good information. Highly recommended by Firearm Buzz! |

Taser International
|
|
The Taser Web Site is the best. It is easy to understand and easy to use. It is worth a visit!
Most important, you can buy a stun gun directly from Taser (a few states have “outlawed” it, but that’s discussed on the site).
YOU DON’T NEED AN FFL TO BUY A TASER! That, in itself, makes this company and Web Site totally unique.
Firearm Buzz gives Taser very high marks.
Give it a browse!

Numrich Gun Parts
|
|
Numrich claims to be the world's largest supplier of gun parts. They certainly appear to be the largest supplier on the web!
They have a straightforward web site that they describe as "functional and not fancy". This is another way of saying that the site is a bit dull, but serves the purpose of giving its visitors quick access to the gun parts they need.
If you are looking for gun parts, this is the site for you. If you want glammer, information, chat forums or pictures -- you'll need to go somewhere else! |

Verona Shotguns
|
|
Verona Shotguns is a web mystery – now solved!
First, there is no Verona web site. The guns are manufactured for BC Outdoors, which is a subsidiary of the Eldridge Cartridge Corporation (which also doesn’t have a web site!) The “Verona Shotgun” is simply a brand name for a line of shotguns distributed by BC Outdoors!
To get to Verona Shotgun information, you actually have to go to the PMC Ammunition web site. Confused yet?
Finally, the only Verona Shotgun review information I could find was chatter in various gun forums, mostly from enthused purchasers of Verona shotguns. The PMC Ammunition web site doesn’t provide more than their own marketing pitch.
The one bright bit of news is that Gander Mountain services these guns. They are a reputable dealer in the central and eastern part of the US. Check out the Gander Mountain web site for information on their Verona Shotgun gunsmithing services and in-store deals.

Gander Mountain
|
|
Gander Mountain is a retail store chain currently located in Midwestern and Eastern states with plans to expand. They sell hunting and fishing gear, outdoors apparel, firearms and knives, camping gear, etc. The Gander Mountain Web Site is attractive, simple to use and unique in what it attempts to do!
Unlike the usual on-line retailer, Gander Mountain wants you to visit their stores. They do not have an on-line catalog. You can’t buy on-line. What you can do is to browse through their advertised and in-store specials. You can get directions to their nearest store. The one exception is gunsmithing, which is detailed on-line, and where you are given instructions on mailing in a firearm for servicing. They are an authorized service center for Weatherby, Remington, Browning, Winchester, Ithica and Verona Shotguns
You can also sign up for an email service that will highlight specials or scheduled events in the location(s) where you shop.
Gander Mountain has a different idea on how to use the web and has done an excellent job of implementing that idea.
This is a website to visit – enjoy!
